A St John’s student planner is issued to every student. It is designed to help students to:
- Plan their work
- Manage their time
- Record their achievements
- Review their progress
- Set Targets for improvement
- Record appointments
The planner helps to forge a regular link between home and St John’s. It must be signed weekly by the student, a parent/carer and the tutor. The planner is an effective means of communication between a student’s tutor and home.
In addition to a timetable, a diary where students record all set homework, details of term dates and holidays, space to record attendance statistics and a parents’ evening planner, the student planner includes guidelines and policies for students relating to behaviour, presentation of work, e-safety, and extended learning. The information is also available on the student intranet.
Planners are issued to all students at the start of the academic year.
