For the first time St John’s Headteacher Dr Patrick Hazlewood will welcome prospective sixth form students and parents to the new single-site school, which opens its doors for the first time on 7 December.
St John’s offers a range of 38 A-level courses, and is also an International Baccalaureate World School.
St John’s has one of the largest Sixth Forms in Wiltshire with almost 300 students, and is one of the top performing Sixth Forms nationally. The ALPS (Advanced Level Performance Systems) data for 2009 ranks St Johns as Outstanding, placed in the top 10% of schools based on the progress made by students from GCSE to A-level and the quality of teaching & learning. IB Diploma results in 2009 included two students with results in the top 1% worldwide.
