St John's Family & Friends
St John’s has an active PTA, with money in the bank and plans for a variety of social and fundraising events. Every parent or guardian, member of staff and Governor is automatically a member of Family & Friends. So if you have an idea for a fundraising event or suggestions on how the money raised might best be spent; if you would like to help in any way or you would like to go on our database and receive regular updates on forthcoming events then simply email us at stjohnsfamilyandfriends@hotmail.co.uk.
Burns Supper January 2010 The first Family & Friends event in the new school was the Burns Supper on Saturday 23rd January. Tickets for this event sold out and we had to increase our numbers, which was an auspicious start. A crack Scottish team of Louise Smith and Hilda Moore set about organising the traditional Burns Night food, decorations and entertainment. |
A REGULAR PRESENCE
Thanks to a highly efficient “catering team” Family & Friends has become a welcome part of many school events such as Parents Evenings, serving tea, coffee, squash and home-made cakes. We plan to run our refreshments stall at no fewer than eight different events over the next three months alone. If anyone would like to help out for an hour at any of these events or volunteer to provide a batch of cakes or biscuits please contact Jo Payne (01672 516167) who would be delighted to hear from you.
